Clark’s Cay Dive Center

The Clark’s Cay and Dunbar Rock Dive Centers operate 3 custom dive boats that are shared as needed: the 45’ Freedom and 45’ Endeavor can each accommodate up to 22 divers, and the 48′ Newton Dive Special up to 30.

The boats all have wide platforms for giant stride entries and sturdy ladders for exiting the water.

They are provisioned with drinking water, fruit for snacking, freshwater showers, towels, camera rinse tanks, dry storage, shaded areas, and all required safety equipment.

Boat rides vary from 20 – 30 minutes for dives along the south to up to 45 minutes for dives along the northern coast. Boats generally depart at 8:30 am for the morning 2-tank dive, returning for lunch with the afternoon boat, leaving a reasonable time after lunch.

If we are diving on the north shore of Guanaja, we will stay out for a three-tank dive, and lunch will be served during the break between the second and third dives.

Concierge Dive Services

Our friendly and professional staff, along with our NAUI and PADI Instructors, pride themselves on being not just your guides but your dive concierges, so please plan to leave the lifting, hauling, and packing of all the diving gear to them!

Our team will carefully load your gear onto the boats, prepare it for the dive, swap it out for the second dive, and rinse and store it at the end of the day. Your only assignment while on board is to check that you have all your gear before we depart, then sit back and enjoy the ride.

We do three dives daily, Sunday - Thursday, and two morning dives on Friday. One night dive is included with any seven-night package and is generally conducted on Tuesday evening (so no afternoon dive on Tuesday). We do not dive on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.

Two tank sizes are available: 63 cu ft and 80 cu ft tanks. Nitrox is also for a $10.00 upgrade per tank or unlimited for $150.00 a week plus tax. (Save when pre-booking!)

Private Dive Guide

Even with our concierge dive service and low diver-to-dive guide ratio, there are times when hiring a Private Dive guide is a great option.

If you are new to diving, or to a dive experience such as a night dive or deep water wreck dive, it can give you more peace of mind.

Photographers may want to take advantage of the sharp eyes of the guides who are experts at finding Guanaja's amazing macro critters.

Or it may be that you simply prefer the one-on-one experience.

Private Divemaster per 1-tank dive: $20.00 & 15% tax
Private Divemaster per day/3 tank dive: $50.00 & 15% tax
Private Divemaster for the week: $250.00 & 15% tax
